Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

Love the ala carte sirloin tacos and chicken tacos. Salsa bar is hot and crisp cucumbers etc. Chips fantastic Oh my, mouth watering as I think about the good stuff. luv the homemade tortillas. to many big screens tvs in the place, which make it noisy. regular visits make us happy.

Plus: Homemade tortilla. Minus: Not folding one end of said tortilla so the contents don't gush out. I had the beans and cheese burrito, the bean, rice and cheese burrito and the barbacoa burrito. The bean and cheese is okay as long as you have hot sauce to give it flavor. The barbacoa was greasy and unappealing in general. Getting the rice into the bean and cheese burrito served as a challenge, however. Ordering off menu can get dicey, people. Confusion breaks out and ultimately you end up with half of what you ordered and a girl in the drive thru showing you her fiery temper. I probably won't be back.

I've been here once, had the mole burrito it was pretty good surprisingly, tried the green chile chicharon burrito as well it wasn't the best I've had but it wasn't the worse either., they have a super hot green salsa that had my mouth on fire , decent prices, has a drive thru, overall i might go back to try out something else on the menu. I did like that i was able to watch football at a burrito joint during lunch and for the ones who drink they sell beer.

Had the Chicharrón and Chile Colorado burritos and they were excellent. My favorite was the Chicharrón though. The tortillas were soft and fresh and fragrant. It was just what I wanted when I wanted it. Perfecto! I'll definitely be back.

I had the brisket burrito with red sauce...nice spice and the potatoes inside were a pleasant surprise. I stuffed mine with some extras from the salsa bar. Free chips that come with the salsa bar which includes: limes, pico, jalapeños, cilantro, and lettuce. I had a water with lime. All delicious by the way. Bill comes.....4 BUCKS!!!! Holy cow!! I'm from out of town, but I swear, Las Cruces has the best Mexican food for the best price all day long.

Love Love Love this place. We were waiting to go to a meeting one day and decided to try this place out of pure curiosity. First the server we had was amazing. I wish I remembered her name but she did everything right. We ordered water to drink. Our server then brought out their homemade drinks. I would attempt to spell the name of them but they are traditional Mexican Drinks in this area. We ended up buy 3 different ones. One from my husband and I and one to take to our daughter. My husband ordered a chicken burrito and it was huge but so good. I asked if they could put more veggies into my burrito which they did. The Tortillas are homemade everything was so fresh and the price was great. Everything we ate was under $20.00. I will be going back again soon.

Came here 2 days in a row for lunch. Once with my sister. Once with my wife. Both days service was mediocre. The waitresses were pretty young and seemed inexperienced, but luckily for me, both days there was a manager who kept our drinks filled. I tried the gorditas my first day: frijoles con queso, chile colorado and molé. The gorditas are flour instead of traditional fried corn meal, almost like a flour tortilla, but thinner because the "tortilla" is stuffed. Everything about the gorditas is homemade. I love the texture of beans and cheese in a fresh flour gordita. Chile colorado packed some heat with the earthiness that red chile brings. Chicken molé was sweet and savory with a touch of heat. For 2 bucks and change per gordita, it's a great deal. You'll just need one for lunch, two for a big appetite. The Flautas Ahogadas were just like Chicos Tacos, but better quality and a higher price. They brought us a small bowl of chips that were thin and a little chewy, but they were just devices to eat the delicious fresh salsas from the salsa bar. If they put out decent chips, they would have a winning combination. The bad news: day 2, I ordered 12 wings for $10. Mistake. The order took 25 minutes. For an hour lunch, that's a bummer. The wings tasted and felt like they were thawed in the microwave and cooked even more then served with a quart of Frank's hot sauce where I had to fish out my ranch dressing packet out of the soup. No extra plates for the bones, anywhere to put my dressing, or no extra napkins. I blame myself. Why did I order wings from a place with the word "burrito in the name? Please take the wings off the menu, stick with the awesome Mexican food, and get better chips. I'll be back.

I spent like 2 years living in LA, which is a fine burrito town, but the deshebrada megaburrito here was, by far, the finest burrito I have ever had.

From the minute I walked in I was greated very nicely on being asked if it was for here or to go. My order wich was the top sirloin carne Asada burrito was a very good size in portion nicely made and warm not cold like a lot of burrito places. The waitress refilled my drink multiple times. Very clean place inside and most of all there salsa bar is deffinatly a must try!
(5)Kimberly C.
I was disappointed when I had gone through the drive thru and ordered carne asada burritos and a gordita for me and my husband. All the burritos had inside was the meat. No pico, no guacamole, no salsa, just the carne. They didn't even put salsa or chili in our bag to put on the burrito. They were so small also. For the price we paid it was not worth the food at all. On an upside, the tortillas were very good.
